LTO7, LTO Ultrium 7 RW Data Cartridges

The LTO 7 tape cartridges or LTO Ultrium 7 Data Cartridges Re-Writeable (RW) are able to be written to multiple times allowing fvor re-use when the data they were storing is no longer required. These LTO7 RW tapes hold up to 6TB in native or uncompressed capacity and up to 15TB of compressed capacity. LTO 7 data cartridges have a transfer rate of up to 300MB/sec while writing data in native or uncompressed capacity and up to 750MB/sec while writing data in compressed capacity. The LTO7 Re-Writeable tape recording surface uses Barium Ferrite (BaFe) particles to record the data. The LTO 7 Ultrium 7 RW Data Cartridge can be read and written to in all LTO7 or LTO Ultrium7 drives and all LTO8 or LTO Ultrium8 tape drives.

The LTO7 RW tape cartridges are the most commonly used tapes as most users adjust the read/write toggle switch on the cartridge if they don't want them sritten to for a period of time.
