The HPE rebadged LTO Ultrium 1/8 Autoloader (R1R75A) with 8 LTO tape slots and a HPE MSL LTO-8 SAS drive (Q6Q68A) is the best entry level tape Autoloader with SAS connectivity. The HPE rebadged LTO Ultrium 1/8 Autoloader package includes the autoloader base unit still with the HPE logo, with 8 LTO tape slots, a barcode reader, documentation, the LTO8 SAS tape drive, 2.5m PDU power cord, an RJ-45 Ethernet cable and a 1m SAS MiniHD SFF8644 - MiniSAS SFF8088 cable. The HPE rebadged LTO 1/8 Autoloader also comes with a 1 year parts exchange warranty with Next Business Day (NBD) response supported by HPE. This HPE rebadged LTO autoloader's LTO8 drive can read and write to LTO8 tapes, LTO7 M8 or Type M tapes and LTO7 tapes.
