The Maxell LTO3, LTO 3, LTO Ultrium 3 data cartridges are the third generation of LTO Ultrium tapes, and was first released to the market in 2007. Maxell LTO Ultrium3 tape has a capacity of 400GB in native and a capacity of up to 800GB compressed with a transfer rate of up to 120 MB/s native and up to 240 MB/s compressed.

Drives that use the Maxell LTO Ultrium 3 data cartridges are recommended to use the Maxell LTO Ultrium Universal Cleaning Cartridge to keep the drive clean.
