Description

The Royal Australian Mint 1997 10-cent circulated coin is a great Australian collectable coin and should be part of any coin collection. This coin is rare to scarce due to its low mintage. The total mintage is 5.7 million coins, and, as with all 10-cent coins, it is made from 75% copper and 25% nickel (cupro-nickel), with a diameter of 23.6mm and a weight of 5.65 grams.

The ten-cent coin was first introduced as part of the decimal currency on 14 February 1966, along with the other new decimal coins. The original reverse design of the lyrebird on standard circulating coins has not been changed since the introduction.

Unlike most online sellers, we show images of the actual circulated coin in its holder, captured with our coin microscope, as well as the original RAM images. This coin is in Extremely Fine or Extra Fine condition. Please see those images before you buy.
