Description

The Royal Australian Mint and Australia Post PNC 2022 Australian Dinosaurs - Diamantinasaurus is a limited edition Postal Numismatic Cover, or some call them Philatelic Numismatic Cover (PNC) released by Australia Post featuring a $1 coin and $1.10 stamp of the Australian dinosaur Diamantinasaurus matildae, a large titanosaur from the Mid-Cretaceous period, nicknamed "Matilda" after its fossil discovery near Winton, Queensland. The PNC (Issue 19) is limited to 7,500 and celebrates this significant Australian find, which is known from multiple specimens, including the most complete sauropod skeleton found in Australia, making it a key part of the "Australian Dinosaurs" coin series. This PNC captures a piece of Australia’s unique paleontological heritage, featuring one of its most iconic dinosaurs.

This PNC includes a pictorial envelope with a $1.10 stamp and a special dinosaur postmark dated the first day of issue (September 5, 2022) in Winton, QLD, as well as the $1 uncirculated coin encapsulated within the PNC envelope and viewing capsule.
