The IBM 40/80GB DLT IV Tape 59H3040, has a native capacity of up to 40GB, and up to 80GB compressed capacity. The IBM DLT4 tape can be used in DLT 4000 drives - 20/40GB, DLT 7000 drives - 35/70GB, DLT 8000 drives - 40/80GB, DLT 1 drives - 40/80GB and VS80 drives - 40/80GB drives.
