Quantum LTO4 Ultrium 4 Data Cartridge MR-L4MQN-01

The Quantum LTO4 or LTO Ultrium 4 data cartridge MR-L4MQN-01 has a native capacity of up to 800GB and a compressed capacity of up to 1.6 TB. The Quantum LTO 4 tape can write data at up to 120 MB/second natively or up to 240 MB/second compressed. The Quantum LTO 4 cartridges have 896 tracks and a tape length of 820 meters. The Quantum LTO4 tape has a lifetime durability of 1,000,000 passes. A pass is each time the tape changes direction so a backup could have over 1,000 passes or more depending on the data written. The Quantum LTO4 cartridges are backwards compatible and therefore suitable for reading and writing on all LTO4 or LTO Ultrium4 drives, for read-only access on all LTO5 or LTO Ultrium5 drives, and for read-only access on LTO6 or LTO Ultrium6 drives.
