Description
The Sony Video Head Cleaning Small Cassette for DVCAM tapes PDVM-12CL is designed for cleaning professional DVCAM's but can also be used for cleaning all other DVCAM and Mini DV cameras head cleaning. The Sony professional video head cleaning cassette PDVM-12CL is good for up to 140 individual cleans.
If excessive "noise" appears on the playback video of the DVCAM video cassette recorder the video heads usually need cleaning to restore the video quality. It is a simple matter of inserting the cleaning cassette into the DVCAM Video Cassette Recorder and pressing play button or the START/STOP button. After running the tape for 5-10 seconds press the STOP button or the START/STOP button. To check the quality you then record some more video on a DVCAM cassette and it should play back normally. If the video quality is not restored repeat this process. DO NOT REWIND the cleaning cassette after use as this is only to be done once it reaches the end of the cleaning tape.
Do not use this DVCAM head cleaning cassette more than 5 times consecutively! If the video quality has not returned after 5 consecutive uses the please consult the manufacturer of you DVCAM or Mini DVCAM.
These DVCAM Mini Video Head Cleaning Cassettes PDVM-12CL have been discontinued by Sony and we have limited numbers left in stock.
