Description
The Royal Australian Mint released the 2020 Australian 75th Anniversary of the end of WW2 coloured $2 coin featuring a central dove of peace, a map of the South East Pacific and Asian region, a band of service colours representing the three Australian armed forces, and a seven-pointed Commonwealth/Mother's and Widow's star. It honours the bravery, sacrifice, and dedication of all those who fought in the Second World War between 3rd September, 1939 and 2nd September, 1945.
The mintage of the RAM 2020 Australian 75th Anniversary of the end of WW2 coloured $2 coin is 2,000,000 (two million), so it is a very rare coin in uncirculated condition. Tony Dean, a prominent coin and medallion designer, engraver, and sculptor, designed the reverse. The obverse depicts the newest portrait of the Queen by Jody Clark, with his initials JC, and the coin is made from Cupro-Nickel (92% copper, 6% aluminium, and 2% Nickel). The edge is interrupted-milled; it weighs 6.60 grams and has a diameter of 20.50mm. They come in a plastic flip or a coin capsule at a small additional cost.
Please note that with fixed shipping, we use a 125mm x 160mm padded mailer, which costs $3.40 incl. GST for the stamps, which do not have tracking. If you require tracking, please get in touch with us for pricing and ordering, or ship it with other items.
