Fujifilm LTO Ultrium Universal Cleaning Cartridge 71015

The Fuji LTO cleaning tape, or Fujifilm LTO Ultrium universal cleaning cartridge 71015, will clean all LTO Ultrium tape drives, including library LTO Ultrium tape drives. The Fujifilm LTO Ultrium Universal Cleaning Tape will clean LTO1 or LTO Ultrium 1 drives, LTO2 or LTO Ultrium 2 drives, LTO3 or LTO Ultrium 3 drives, LTO4 or LTO Ultrium 4 drives, LTO5 or LTO Ultrium 5 drives, LTO6 or LTO Ultrium 6 drives, LTO7 or LTO Ultrium 7 drives, LTO8 or LTO Ultrium 8 drives, LTO9 or LTO Ultrium 9 drives, and LTO10 or LTO Ultrium 10 drives.

The Fuji LTO Universal Cleaning Cartridge provides 15-50 cleans, depending on the drive and the level of cleaning required each time it is used. The cleaning process takes around 30 seconds. The Fujifilm LTO cleaning tape cleans the heads that write and read data, as well as other parts of the drive's tape path. This cleaning process improves the drive's performance and the quality and quantity of data backed up to the tape. As tape drives age and become out of spec, or the tapes themselves age, the tape drive will require more frequent cleaning, and this cartridge will provide fewer clean cycles. Your drive then becomes unreliable, or the heads are failing, and the data written becomes poor and harder to read. This is a good time to call for service if you still have cover or consider replacing the tape drive.
