HPE StoreEver MSL2024 Tape Library - No Drives AK379A

The HPE StoreEver MSL2024 tape library (AK379A) is an LTO Ultrium tape library only (no tape drives) with 24 licenced LTO tape slots, and with space for up to 2 x HPE MSL LTO tape drives to be installed. The HPE MSL2024 tape library package comes with the library, documentation, a rack or rail kit for this 2U library, and a 1 year next business day warranty. These can be HPE MSL SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) or FC (Fibre Channel) tape drives as the library itself can take either drive as the drives are connected through a cable from the rear of the tape library's drives to a SAS or FC HBA card installed in the server, PC or an adapter or other appliance to connect to the network. The HPE MSL2024 LTO Ultrium tape library itself has a 1 year Basic Next Business Day (NBD) warranty which covers any HPE MSL LTO Ultrium tape drives installed into this library from the date of purchase. This warranty can be extended up to 3 years, or even 5 years when purchased new, and covers all tape drives installed. This includes any HP/HPE MSL LTO tape drives still operational you have from previous HPE tape libraries. The only tape drives currently available new for HPE LTO Ultrium tape libraries are the HPE MSL LTO-7, HPE MSL LTO-8 and HPE MSL LTO-9 tape drives.
