HPE StoreEver MSL2024 Tape Library - No Drives AK379A

The HPE StoreEver MSL2024 tape library AK379A is an LTO Ultrium tape library only (no tape drives) with 24 licenced LTO tape slots however up to 2 tape drives can be installed. These can be HPE MSL SAS or FC (Fibre Channel) tape drives as the library itself can take either drive as the drives are connected through a cable from the rear of the tape library's drives to a SAS or FC HBA card installed in the server or PC. The HPE MSL2024 LTO Ultrium tape library itself has a 1 year Basic Next Business Day (NBD) warranty as does any HPE MSL LTO Ultrium tape drives installed into this library. This warranty can be extended up to 3 years when purchased new, and covers all tape drives installed, in this case 1 or 2 HPE MSL LTO Ultrium tape drives as long as they are still supported by HPE which is currently HPE MSL LTO-5, HPE MSL LTO-6, HPE MSL LTO-7, HPE MSL LTO-8 and HPE MSL LTO-9 tape drives tape drives.
