Description

The Maxell Helical-Scan 8mm Data Cartridge (HS-8/160) is a 160m/525ft tape with a capacity of up to 7GB native and up to 14GB compressed. This D8 or Data 8 tape is designed for use in 8mm 160M cartridge drives and has a native capacity of up to 7GB and a compressed capacity of up to 14GB in the EXB-8505, EXB8505XL and Eliant drives. The Maxell D8 8mm 160M tapes can also be read in an M1 (LT) drive.

The Maxell 8mm D8 160m tape is in Data 8 (D8) format, so it can be used as a video recording tape in Video8, Hi8, and Digital8 video cameras. This D8 160m tape can hold up to 120 minutes in Video8 or Hi8 format and up to 90 minutes in Digital8 format, as it is longer than the 8mm 112m tapes.

Maxell has discontinued the 8MM 160M data tape (HS-8/160), and we have limited numbers left in stock. These tapes are also available to overseas buyers, so please use "contact us" if you wish to purchase some, as our online store is only available to Australian and New Zealand buyers.
