Description

The HPE formerly the HP LTO5 Ultrium WORM Data Cartridge C7975W has a native capacity of up to 1.5TB and a compressed capacity of up to 3TB. The HPE LTO-5 Ultrium WORM Data Cartridge is suitable for read and write in all LTO5 Ultrium 5 tape drives, and also suitable for read and write in LTO6 Ultrium 6 tape drives, and read only in all LTO7 Ultrium 7 tape drives. The HPE LTO5 tape has been extreme environmental, drop, shock, and vibration tested; and has an HPE guaranteed archival life of 30 years. The HPE LTO5 WORM tape usage is defined as 1,000,000 passes or 260 full tape backups. All the drives that use HPE LTO 5 WORM C7975W tapes are recommended to use the HPE LTO Universal Cleaning Cartridge C7978A to maintain the drive in top condition. The HPE LTO-5 Ultrium WORM Data Cartridge offers built-in encryption capability and a Write Once Read Many (WORM) option so once this tape has been written to it cannot be written over! This HPE LTO-5 WORM Tape has increased the number of recording tracks from 896 for LTO-4 to 1280 tracks for 5th generation HPE LTO-5 Ultrium WORM 3 TB cartridges. Intelligent cartridge design with LTO Ultrium cartridge memory chip delivers faster access time and enhanced media monitoring. Durable cartridge design and a simplified tape path to reduce wear and tear and build up of and debris (important in automation). Tested to extremes, HPE brand qualification test procedures (load/unload, shoeshine, drop testing and environmental stress testing) go far beyond what is required for the LTO Ultrium logo. This ensures maximum reliability for restoring your data. Limited lifetime warranty, HPE warrants all LTO Ultrium cartridges for up to 30 years archival life and/or 260 full backups. This ensures businesses can meet the ever-increasing demands of regulation for data retention and archiving.

Cooperate with HPE in attempting to resolve the problem over the telephone. This may involve performing routine diagnostic procedures, installing additional software or patches, removing third party options and/or substituting options.
