The Fuji 3592 JA 300GB tape cartridge or Fuji 3592 JA 300GB data cartridge is the first generation of 3592 tapes also called Generation 1 3592 cartridge. The FujiFilm 3592 cartridge has a native capacity of up to 300GB and up to 640GB depending on the drive. The Fujifilm 3592 JA cartridge can be used in IBM 3592 J1A EO2 drives, IBM TS1120 EO5 drives and IBM TS1130 EO6 drives. Fuji enterprise 3592 JA 300GB tape cartridges are used in enterprise-class data storage systems which require the use of storage media that offer both high capacity and high reliability. Fujifilm/Fuji 3592 JA Tape Cartridges for IBM 3592 Total Storage Enterprise Tape Drive Systems offer outstanding reliability and as the first product to feature our proprietary Nanocubic thin-coating technology for magnetic media, they offer a native capacity of 300GB (900GB with 3:1 data compression) and a native data transfer speed of 40MB per second (110MB per second with 3:1 data compression).

Drives that use the FujiFilm/Fuji 3592 JA data cartridges are recommended to use the Fuji 3592 Cleaning Cartridge however they are discontinued and no longer available, so the IBM 3592 Cleaning Cartridge 18P7535 is the other option to keep the drive clean.
NANOCUBIC technology high-density digital recording requires an extremely thin recording layer.
