Description
The HPE LTO-10 Ultrium 10 WORM data cartridges Q2080W can write up to 30TB native capacity with a native data transfer rate of up to 400MB/s (Native performance, full height drives only), and up to 75TB compressed capacity (Maximum, assuming 2.5:1 data compression) with a compressed data transfer rate of up to 1,000MB/s or 1GB/s. The HPE LTO Ultrium 10 WORM tape uses Strontium Ferrite particles to record the data, is a Write Once Read Many (WORM) tape and is therefore suitable for backup and archive, where you wish to keep the data unchanged from the first write but can read it as often as required. The HPE LTO10 Ultrium WORM data cartridge supports partitioning and is therefore compatible with all LTO-10 or LTO Ultrium 10 tape drives for reading and writing.
To have LTO10 tape barcode labels attached to your tapes, please see Application of Tape Barcode Labels for details. This tape would then become the HPE LTO-10 Ultrium Gen 10 data cartridge Q2080AL, custom pre-labelled.
Drives that use the HPE LTO-10 Ultrium 30TB/75TB WORM Data Cartridge are recommended to use the HPE LTO Ultrium Universal Cleaning Cartridge to keep the drive clean.

The HPE LTO Ultrium 10 data tapes Q2080W enable businesses to comply with recommendations from law enforcement agencies and financial institutions worldwide by maintaining unchangeable offline copies of their data. The LTO technology has a 25-year legacy spanning 10 generations, with native transfer speeds of up to 400 MB/s for LTO-10. Secure AES-256 encryption (per FIPS 197) provides even higher levels of data security and compliance with the most stringent industry regulations, preventing unauthorised data access. The Linear Tape File System (LTFS) makes using tape as easy, flexible, portable, and intuitive as using other removable and shareable media, such as a USB drive. Also, because LTO cartridges at rest require minimal additional power and cooling, they offer a greener, more sustainable long-term archival solution for your data.
